Deer Creek Speedway
God's speed Arly Hamman
The racing community and Deer Creek Speedway family lost one of our own yesterday. Arly Hamman had been a fixture in the racing community for over 30 years with his tow truck helping out at many tracks. He was not only great on track with his truck but also an amazing friend and mentor to many.
Many probably did not see all that Arly did from the stands but he has left a big hole in the racing community as he was one that many leaned on. He always made sure the fire extinguishers we full, was always at the fire/emt trainings that took place and was a great teacher to many. His knowledge was vast and he was always willing and eager to share.
Our flag man Rich Samic had some great words and wanted to share with everyone below.
Wake up each day and give thanks for the blessing that you have. Give thanks for the family and friends that have touched your life! You never know when that last smile will come.
God's speed Arly Hamman. You were truly one of the great ones. Thank you for your warmth, friendship and mentorship. Saturday's at the track will never be the same.
