Track Championship Set for This Weekend!
This Saturday, August 23 is Championship Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway!
It is the FINAL night of track points to determine our four track champions for 2025.
One division is a lock, two have a long shot chance and one will come down the checkered flag of the feature race.
Zach Brom of Winona has secured the Napa Auto Care Centers USRA Modified title for his first track title. Brayden Gjere of Mabel holds a 76-point lead over Chris Hovden from Cresco, IA in the Rochester Chevrolet-Cadillac USRA Stock Cars. Luke Schluetter of New Hampton, IA holds a 63-point advantage over Dustin Doughty from Hudson, WI in the Meadow Greens Golf Course USRA Hobby Stocks.
The Leroy Auto Clinic USRA B-Mods will come down to their final feature race to crown their champion. Going into Saturday, Billy Steinberg of Utica holds a small 19-point edge over Mantorville’s Christopher Deno. Hunter Kennedy of St. Ansgar, IA lurks just 27-points behind Steinberg.
Races for the top five in points are close in all four classes. So, we will see how things shake out at the end of each feature race. Who will end up in the top five? Only time will tell.
Something new for 2025!
After each victory lane interview, we will be celebrating the track champion along with second thru fifth in points for that class on the frontstretch after each race is done. They will be awarded their trophies and each champion will be interviewed.
To go along with that, awards for most improved driver in each class will be handed out along with overall track rookie of the year, hard luck and sportsmanship awards.
So come join us on Saturday for some exciting racing and to celebrate the 2025 regular season.
