SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (May 24, 2025)—Deer Creek Speedway hosted a thrilling Saturday night of racing for the 22nd Annual LRS Southern Minnesota Spring Challenge, featuring a robust field of 43 USRA B-Mods, 28 USRA Hobby Stocks, and 50 USMTS Modifieds in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series. The event drew top talent from across the region, delivering intense competition on the 3/8-mile clay oval as drivers battled for supremacy in front of a packed crowd.

In the first USRA B-Mod 20-lap Feature, Noah Grinstead of Austin led from the start to secure the victory. Jett Sorensen of Rochester followed in second, with Tianna Mithun of New Richland taking third. Spencer Stock of Racine charged to fourth, and Jackson Hale of Grand Meadow rounded out the top five.

The second USRA B-Mod Feature saw Dustin Kruse of Baltic, S.D., emerge victorious after starting fifth. Kaeden Bronner of Austin claimed second, followed by Billy Steinberg of Utica in third. Hunter Kennedy of St. Ansgar, Iowa, took fourth, and Christopher Deno of Mantorville finished fifth in the 20-lap showdown.

In the USRA Hobby Stock Feature, Gavin Bartel of Kasson drove to the win from the third starting position. Parker Anderson of Welcome took second, while Dustin Doughty of Hudson, Wis., made an impressive run from 20th to third. Travis Krause of Buffalo City, Wis., secured fourth, and Dustin Gulbrandson of Sioux Falls, S.D., completed the top five. Bartel’s victory underscored his rising talent in the division, holding off a hard-charging Anderson.
