This Saturday, August 18 is Veterans Night at the Deer Creek Speedway presented by Clements Chevrolet of Rochester. All Military Personnel, All Veterans and a guest get in FREE! In addition, Veterans and Military Personnel get a free drink ticket.

The USRA Modified drivers will be racing for more money thanks to an anonymous donor. An extra $1000 has been added to the feature winner’s total to make that a $2000 payday. There is also an additional $1000 that will be added throughout the field for their 25-lap feature.

The donor that offered up the extra pay just wanted one thing to be known. That this is being done in honor of all the veterans out there that served our country. Their service and sacrifices allow us to have the freedoms we have in this country and that is very much appreciated.

There will be a lot of activities going on that evening also. There will be can coolies for the first 300-adult attendees and American flags for the children. Fans can also see some military displays and purchase a special Veterans Night t-shirt.

You can also partake in a silent auction, live auction, 50/50 raffle and a special raffle for some incredible prizes. The fund raising efforts will benefit the Mayo SE Chapter 28 of the Minnesota Disabled American Veterans. All 100% of the money raised will go to support the Veterans and Military in southeast Minnesota.

On race day pit gates open at 2:00 p.m., grandstand opens at 2:30 p.m., slingshots race at 3:00 p.m., hot laps are at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 6:00 p.m.

The Deer Creek Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval which sits on 60 acres south of Rochestrer, MN with one of America’s most popular state-of-the-art racing complexes and an adjoining campground.
