Coming into the final night of the 19th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree Saturday, Ryan Gustin was on top of the Modified racing world. Nothing changed by the end of the night, except for Gustin’s bank account which expanded by $13,000 after winning the main event at the Deer Creek Speedway for the second night in a row.
The biggest Out-Pace USRA B-Mod victory of Ben Moudry’s career came in the marquee event of the year Saturday as he dominated the 25-lap main event at the 19th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree.
Ryan Gustin was in a grim mood after Thursday night’s main event at the Deer Creek Speedway, but Friday was a chance at redemption and ‘The Reaper’ was confident he could do just that. After an attempt to wrestle the lead away from Cade Dillard one night earlier, Gustin was unable to recover and Dillard drove away for the win while Gustin settled for second place
Dan Hovden fended off several challengers Friday night and found his way to victory lane during the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod main event on night two at the 19th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree. The Decorah, Iowa, driver started on the inside of the second row but dropped in behind a three-wide battle for the lead between J.T. Wasmund, Parker Hale and Shawn Strong to open the 20-lap feature race.
In a repeat of opening night at last year’s Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Cade Dillard won the battle but Jason Hughes won the war. This time, however, Dillard was not under the pressure of having to outrun Hughes for the chance at becoming the USMTS national champion, and Hughes needed no late-race heroics to hang on to his crown.
Jim Chisholm scored his first Iron Man Challenge victory in dominating fashion, leading all 20 laps to capture the4 opening night main event for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods at the 19th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree. Chisholm, who finished second in the track championship points at the Deer Creek Speedway, took off from the outside of the front row and had to persevere through five cautions and a first-lap red flag to get to the finish line first.

The 19th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree takes place Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 21-23, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn. USMTS drivers will be racing for $5,000 to win the first two nights and a big $10,000 paycheck on Saturday. But on Friday morning they’ll be swinging their drivers and slicing their balls at the annual Club Car Jamboree Open golf tournament.
